On Tuesday American Library held a first seminar of the American Studies Institute of the US Embassy's course. During April 2014 a series of lectures are provided on topic: «Social Movements and Political Change». First seminar was presented by Rachel Atwood, U.S. Embassy Kyiv.

April Fools' Day, sometimes called All Fools' Day, is one of the most light-hearted days of the year. April Fools' Day is observed throughout the Western world. Practices include sending someone on a "fool's errand," looking for things that don't exist; playing pranks; and trying to get people to believe ridiculous things.

Tuesday - Friday 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Book of the Week - "How to be Useful: A beginner's Guide to not hating Work". This book will help you navigate the waters of office life. For example, you'll learn: why "just being yourself" is a terrible idea, how to be smart but not too smart, why you shouldn't be "nice", and that ambition, practiced wisely, is a noble thing.

American Library Kyiv continues seminars for students, who work on their academic research. On Thursday a lecture was held on how to arrange a bibliographic record in science research.
