On December, 2 American Library held Kids' Library Club with Evgeniya Pirog, childrens' books author. Evgenia volunteered with initiative "Add reading" for ground school students, who start learning English and just discovered what a Library is. Children were happy to participate in this event and we hope that they also practiced their English with us!

World AIDS Day, observed on 1 December every year, is dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection. Since 1995, the President of the United States has made an official proclamation on World AIDS Day. Today we picked books on HIV\AIDS treatment and care.

On Saturday, November 30, American Library held a movie screening session conducted by Jeff Evans, Master of Social Work (MSW), who is currently working with ETRC, Kyiv. The participants had a prescreening discussion about a science-fiction film "Alien", on self-esteem characteristics of the movie characters, exchanging their views and opinions.

Thanksgiving is a wonderful American tradition during which we give thanks and pray to the Almighty for His Benevolence. The Fulbright office in Ukraine also has a tradition of bringing together family and friends – old and new—around a Thanksgiving table.
