Women's Equality Day is a day proclaimed each year by the United States President to commemorate the granting of the vote to women throughout the country. Women in the United States were granted the right to vote on August 26, 1920, when the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution was certified as law. This week we've chosen books on feminism, gender equality, women's suffrage, women's rights, family and relationships.

This week we picked books about music of the United States, whichreflects the country's multi-ethnic population through a diverse array of styles. It is a mixture of music influenced by West African, Irish, Scottish, Mexican, and Cuban music traditions among others. The country's most internationally renowned genres are jazz, blues, country, bluegrass, rock, rhythm and blues, ragtime, hip hop, barbershop, pop, experimental, techno, house, dance, boogaloo, salsa, and rock and roll.

Book of the Week - "When Sorry isn't enough" by G. Chapman, J. Thomas. Even in the best of relationships, all of us make mistakes. We do and say things we later regret and hurt people we love most. So we need to make things right. But simply saying you're sorry is usually not enough. This week we picked a book that will help you discover how meaningful apologies provide the power to make your friendships, family, and marriage stronger.
