Dear library users, on Tuesday (February, 14 at 17:00) you are welcome to join our Film Club at American Library: "Casablanca", American film drama, released in 1942. 

The first Friday of February has been designated by the awareness campaign, Heart Truth, as National Wear Red Day in the United States. On this day, men and women are encouraged to wear red as a symbol of their support of women’s heart health. This week we picked books on prevention and screening of heart disease.

English Speaking Club with Michael Kuzko gathered us on a Friday night for a little game party - this time we were playing "in other words" in English ! Join us every Friday at 17:00 at American Library! More photos here!

 

National Freedom Day is a United States observance on February 1 honoring the signing by Abraham Lincoln of a joint House and Senate resolution that later became the 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. President Lincoln signed the Amendment outlawing slavery on February 1, 1865. This week we've picked books concerning abolitionism, slavery and rights in USA.
