On Tuesday, February 11 we held a workshop on Kids' American Library programs for librarians of Public libraries for children.This event was planned as a part of professional program for our colleagues: excursion tour over the NaUKMA Library and visit to WoA Center at NaUKMA. The workshop was dedicated to "Add reading initiative" and AL cooperation with children's author, Evgeniya Pirog. The participants discussed also the way Libraries work with kids' audience in the USA. Presentation was delivered by Svitlana Chukanova, WoA coordinator, Excursion was guided by Svitlana Kupriets, Head of Circulation Department at NaUKMA Library.

Rosa Parks, also known as a First Lady of civil rights, was born on February 4, 1913. On December 1, 1955, Rosa Parks, a 42-year-old African-American seamstress, refused to give up her seat to a white man while riding on a city bus in Montgomery, Alabama. For doing this, Rosa Parks was arrested and fined for breaking the laws of segregation. Rosa Parks' refusal to leave her seat sparked the Montgomery Bus Boycott and is considered the beginning of the modern Civil Rights Movement.
